The 2009 VJ Multimedia Workshop is possible because of your support.

Through your generosity the participants will tell unique stories about the Ventura community while the learning process allows the next generation of storytellers to rise to the top of their field. The Team Leaders and Alumni Producers, the Faculty and Support Team all volunteered, just like you, to make a difference in our community of visual journalists.

Your support is enabling people to do something uniquely human, to tell stories. In the process they will create a historical record, both in Ventura and in their hometowns when they return to their daily routines… if they return to their daily routines. And this record will last for generations to come.

Still, perhaps the greatest thank you we can give is by sharing what we produce here at the workshop, honoring the lives of our citizens and changing the lives of our students. Before the first photo exposed, the first audio recorded, the first clip of video shot, and the first timeline laid down in Final Cut Pro, you were here to make sure we were able to get off the ground.

Take pride in knowing that your contributions directly effected the lives of the 50 workshop participants, the support staff and all the people we met and shared the weekend with at the VJ Multimedia Workshop.
